as a skater myself + a genuine lover of things well made I wonder: is it truly possible for a skate brand to produce a hight quality tee?

cause I totally get the paradox: if the tee is meant to be skated with, hight quality stuff would be kinda overkill. and if a skater is meant to be 'ready to jump on a board at all time' well, a skate brand could only make skate-proof apparel.

now, that being said, at $60 a tee, well, something feels quite 'off' in their current equation 🙃

Very well put! In case with this particular tee, I didn't even skate in it. I only wore it occasionally because the print have faded so fast haha

Regarding the paradox, there are more and more skaters that skate in quality clothing denim. Gilbert Crockett started his quality denim brand called Cee Blues https://ceebluesstore.com/ Louie Lopez skates for Noah https://vctnson.substack.com/p/louie-lopez-for-noah

Although it's indeed overkill to shred streets in that type of clothing, true workwear brands such as Camber USA prove that such a simple garment like a printed tee might be both decent quality and affordable.
