I’ve had my Chambords for about a month now, I can truly say the Golf Derby is the perfect semi-formal shoe, in black, paired with my Timberland three eye lugs in brown, the perfect autumn/winter rotation

I always thought I’d go for Plain Toe Bluchers but somehow I found myself leaning more towards apron toes or even a combo of aprons and split toes. They supposedly go against the elegance of American, British, and Italian footwear, especially with those chunky rubber soles of French makers. Yet, there is another, almost silly kind of charm to them elevates casual outfits and dresses down classy ones.

Couldn’t agree more, I’ve found apron fronts to in fact be infinitely more wearable than plain toes thanks to that little bit of extra visual detail. I’ve found often with plain toes I feel as though I’m wearing the generic idea of “shoes”
