Streets Report is an ongoing series where I take pictures of regular people in the streets. Unlike fashion lookbooks or random enthusiasts, these are just passers-by. Some obviously care more about their looks, while others do less. Either way, they certainly don’t do it to be photographed by someone else. They just feel like it, and I find it beautiful.
It might be because of all of the stuff I read about Neapolitan tailoring (for reasons I can’t explain, since I don’t wear suits) or just the luxury brands such as E.Marinella, Rubinacci, and Isaia, but I pictured Naples as an old Baroque city full of impeccably dressed elderly gentlemen. In reality, it’s much closer to what you can observe in the crime drama series Gomorrah.
Don’t get me wrong, the city is simply mind-blowing, especially in terms of food and architecture. I just haven’t met enough of those mysterious, handsome gents gazing off into the distance over a cup of café.
With that said, here is what I came up with.
First goes this gentleman pulling off an incredible combo of an olive trench coat over a beige Harrington jacket over a puzzling navy thing. It must be some kind of a shirt, but I just can’t spot a collar in the photo. Please, drop a comment below the post if you have any ideas🙏
Not to mention the brogued Oxford shoes in brown suede. The guy does it so well that even a young hypebeast froze in dream-like appreciation.
The rain jacket below is from Zara. But I still like the simple white a navy color matching:
A black blazer in nylon fabric over the traditional shirt-and-pullover combination with washed-out jeans, brown suede chukkas, and a denim bucket hat to top it off? Sheesh!
I just like how his Helly Hansen jacket matches La Masardona pizza fritta brand colors:
Elderly tourists know their stuff as well:
Don’t even talk to me about #gorpcore unless you look like this:
Some technical rainwear for all ya urban ninjas:
That’s how you take a break from cooking up all that pizza dough:
Finally, I somehow got away with sneaking a pic from real-life Uncut Gems:
If you liked this report, I would greatly appreciate it if you helped others discover it. Hitting ❤️ , or sharing/restacking, are all a huge help.
