Streets Report is an ongoing series where I take pictures of regular people in the streets. Unlike fashion lookbooks or random enthusiasts, these are just passers-by. Some obviously care more about their looks, while others do less. Either way, they certainly don’t do it to be photographed by someone else. They just feel like it, and I find it beautiful.
Greece’s capital is obviously full of character, but its elderly people just might be the pinnacle. They wear blazers, have lunch at the old school market bodegas, read magazines at newspaper stands, ride bikes, drink ouzo, and smoke cigarettes. They live their lives and do it with all sincerity.
All groomed, in a proper fitting suit, smoking a cigarette:
Ball cap, corduroy jacket, beige slacks and sneakers — now, that’s how you do #dadcore:
Just reading a magazine at newspaper stand:
Having lunch in-between the fish and the meat sections of the Athens’ central market:
I can’t forgive myself for messing up the focus on this one:
#gnomecore at its finest:
Exemplary faded shirt and white slides:
Long coat, ultramarine flowing pants and socks with sandals:
Lastly, just two gents on their regular commute:
Let me know if you like this kind of report in the comments below, as I definitely enjoy observing the styles and details of real people in the streets 🙌
